Inspiring the Next Generation of Research at the GBS|CIDP Foundation International Patient Symposium

Posted on

As part of the 2023 International Patient Symposium, the Foundation was thrilled to welcome seven young medical professionals – ranging from those in their residency to those finishing their Ph.D. – to join the conference and learn from our Global Medical Advisory Board and from the patient community. These young professionals attended sessions, facilitated Q&A’s, and joined a Lunch & Learn with patients. The highlight of their presence at the conference was the research posters they shared with the patient community. The group was able to share their work with Symposium attendees during conversations around their posters and inspired many to think positively about the future of research. The Foundation thanks this group of young medical professionals for attending the symposium, and we hope to see them at future events with more of their research to share with the community!

We also have a special video message about the importance of research from Congressman Garamendi, one of our champions for our bill, H.R. 5818. View his message here.
