Alejandra’s Story

Alejandra Pérez del Real CIDP Video

My name is Alejandra and I have CIDP. It all started in 2006 with a bad flu. I was working 16 hours days and was having problems with my legs. I pushed through and it wasn’t until my hands became paralyzed that I went to the emergency room and was possibly diagnosed with Guillain Barre Syndrome. For three weeks, the doctors kept me under observations with no treatment until I left with no answers. It was not until I came across the Foundations’ website and read about CIDP that I realized I had the exact symptoms of CIDP.
