Magnolia Innovation, an independent research company, is seeking individuals and care partners for individuals who have been diagnosed with Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS) to participate in a web survey to share their personal experiences with GBS.
THE ASK: The survey will cover many topics related to your experiences during, and for the years following your (or the person you care for’s) diagnosis with GBS. For example, the care that you (or the person you care for) received after being discharged from the hospital and the impact of GBS on your (or the person you care for’s) ability to work.
COMPENSATION: The survey will take about 30 minutes and you will receive $75 for your time.
CONFIDENTIALITY: Please know that we take your privacy seriously. Your identity will be strictly anonymous, all personal data collected during the survey will be treated confidentially, and no information that could identify you will be shared with any 3rd party without your expressed permission.
WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF:
You are over 18 years old.
You were (or the person you care for was) diagnosed with Guillain Barre syndrome by a doctor. *Please note that you will be asked to provide proof of diagnosis. For example, you can share a picture from an online medical chart. You can also ask your doctor for a letter confirming that you were diagnosed with GBS. If you are not sure how to do this, we are happy to assist you!
You were (or the person you care for was) hospitalized due to GBS and discharged from the hospital at least 9 months ago, but no more than 5 years ago.
You are comfortable discussing the period following your (or your loved one’s) discharge from the hospital, including the types of doctors seen, frequency of appointments, and the financial impact of GBS *We recognize that you may not remember all details, and you will not have to answer any questions that you do not remember the answer to or feel comfortable speaking about! However, we do want to ensure that you are generally comfortable discussing these topics.
