Her experience includes supporting other rare disease nonprofits and research organizations dedicated to advancing medical developments in their field. Prior to joining the Foundation, she served in a leadership role in human services where she helped to enhance internal communications and elevate their reputation within the Philadelphia community.
Darlene holds a BA in English and MS in Nonprofit Management from Eastern University. She lives with her husband, son, two rescue dogs, and cat in Collingswood, New Jersey, where she enjoys exploring new restaurants and live music. She loves to try new recipes, travel, read, and attend local farmer’s markets and arts festivals. Originally from Miami, Florida, she embraces all of the activities that each of the four seasons brings.
She looks forward to helping the Foundation raise awareness around GBS, CIDP, MMN, and related conditions.
“There is nothing more important than shining that much-needed light on rare diseases and conditions so they get the attention needed in order to improve treatments and the quality of life for those affected.”
