Michele Dearing

Michele L. Dearing is an experienced attorney with a background spanning corporate claims, insurance coverage, employment law, and complex litigation. She currently serves as Corporate Claims Attorney with The Progressive Corporation, where she advises on complex legal matters, oversees litigation, and provides risk analysis and reporting. Previously, Michele served as an Attorney-Advisor with the U.S. Department of the Interior, handling federal litigation, employment matters, policy, and legal counseling. Her legal career also includes extensive experience representing clients in insurance coverage and general litigation matters, as well as judicial clerkship experience with the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Alabama. Michele earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in International Studies and Spanish from West Virginia University. She has also contributed to professional publications and served on several community and nonprofit boards.
