Brian O’Sullivan

Brian O’Sullivan was elected to the Board of Directors of GBS-CIDP Foundation International in 2026. He first connected with the Foundation shortly after being diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome in late 2020. Since then, Brian has worked to raise awareness of GBS, CIDP, and MMN and to support fellow patients, particularly through the Youth, Teen, and Young Adult (YTA) Program. He is especially passionate about supporting patients’ mental and emotional well-being as they adjust to life following a diagnosis.

Professionally, Brian’s background has focused on business and strategy, particularly digital and data transformation, including through his work at Boston Consulting Group. As a member of the Board of Directors, he hopes to combine his experience as a GBS patient with his professional skill set to advance the Foundation’s strategic initiatives and help it serve more patients, care partners, and medical professionals around the world.

Outside of work, Brian enjoys sports, especially the Boston Red Sox, traveling, and spending time with his wife and their dog.

Brian is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Columbia University in the City of New York and a master’s degree from the University of Colorado Boulder.
