Event Description
About this Event
Living with GBS, CIDP, or MMN can bring unique emotional and practical challenges, especially during the busy holiday season. Join us for a supportive, informal conversation with Julie Bell (CIDP patient), Dave Ahrens (CIDP patient), and Chrissie Jenkins, MSW, LISW-CP as we discuss mental health and emotional well-being, adaptive devices and accessibility, and tips for preparing for holiday travel while managing your condition.
Why Attend?
Connect with others: Share experiences, learn from others who understand your journey, and build meaningful connections.
Explore emotional support: Discuss mental health, coping strategies, and ways to navigate the emotional challenges of living with a chronic condition.
Discover practical solutions: Learn about adaptive devices, accessibility considerations, and resources that may help make everyday activities easier.
Prepare for holiday travel: Exchange tips for planning ahead, managing your needs, and making holiday travel more comfortable and accessible.
Who Should Attend?
This coffee chat is open to anyone living with Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS), chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP), or multifocal motor neuropathy (MMN). Whether you are newly diagnosed or have been living with your condition for years, you are welcome to join. Care partners and family members who support someone living with these conditions are also encouraged to attend.
Come as you are, bring your questions, and connect with a community that understands. You don’t have to navigate this journey alone!
