Foundation Holds Event at Local Rehabilitation Hospital

Bryn Mawr Rehab Foundation Event

On September 24, 2024, Bryn Mawr Rehabilitation Hospital in Malvern, PA hosted an Open House for our local patient community.  Moderated by Maria Harris, DPT, PT with Main Line Health, the event showcased the state-of-the-art facility and their commitment to creating a comprehensive rehabilitation program for each patient.  Attendees were given a tour of the facility and learned about equestrian, aquatic, virtual, mechanical, and traditional methods of rehab available to patients.

Attendees were also shown a demonstration of Bryn Mawr’s EKSO skeleton and Vector apparatuses and how this specialty equipment can assist patients at all different levels of recovery the ability to walk again.  This event highlighted how important this type of rehabilitation helps our patients regain not just their physical abilities, but also their confidence and quality of life, which is so much a part of a patient’s recovery journey.  At the end of the tour, local liaison Bob Whiteside hosted a brief community meeting, sharing thoughts on the event and sharing patient stories.
