Multifocal Motor Neuropathy (MMN) affects about 1-2 in every 100,000 individuals worldwide. When people develop MMN, their motor nerves are attacked by their immune system. This results in weakness and muscle wasting, and tremendous negative impacts on quality of life and ability to perform daily tasks.
