Julie! You gave me an idea here that I never thought about and might try it out! The oatmeal for absorbing stomach acid. I get GERD alot and that drives me nuts. Going to try the oatmeal and see what happens. Thanks!

Hey Julie! Have they checked you for UTI infection. I know I keep a UTI all the time and get belly bloat when that happens. My urine alway’s shows no infection at the doctors office and when they send it off to the lab it comes back positive. Just a thought here but you could be having another problem too.
Hate to hear you are having such a hard time right now. Can be very frustrating too! I will keep you in my thoughts and hope that they figure out what is causing the problem so you can start seeing recovery soon.
This GBS and CIDP stuff for us all is a major pain! I feel for every one of us in here. Some of us have it easier than others and some don’t get a break.
I pray that we all someday see a cure for this. An easy treatment plan that we have no needles and no IVIG’s. Just a simple pill that cures us!
Good luck Julie and have a nice sleep in! Hugs

Julie! Good luck at Hopkins today! Your story reminded me of a guy I dated in high school. He also had a beard! Our first date and last! In fact after that date we would not even look at each other in school. He took me to the movies and we both wore braces. Decided to give me a kiss and our braces locked up and we could not get apart! 😀
Our parents ended up having to pick us up and we ended up having to go to the ER and get unlocked. How embarrassing! The doctors and nurses and people were laughing at us! Even the doctor could not keep a straight face. Our parents were a little upset because we were kissing and that was not proper to do in a movie theater. That following Monday we both saw each other and faces turned bright red and after that we never spoke or looked at each other again.
Hmm! Too early for me to be drinking right now, so I think I will just have a coke! Good luck at Hopkins today!

Glad you are getting so much help from your nero. I would like to know the name as we are looking for a second opinion even though that is far for us. Do I go somewhere closer or to the best. Do not know if I can find a good second opinion close to or in to Knoxville Tennessee. I have been told that it is not a place to get cidp ( from a doc when my husband had sepsis). Scary and our docs refusal to do 2 days of ivig closer that 6 weeks is very disappointing.
Need help for my husband. He has succumbed to the bedroom all day. Very tired all the time and some noticable difference in arms (hot and cold) never in arms before.

Thanks for the grin. And yes, I’m finding that too much stimuli is not good for me. My concentration just goes. So, I did not take it wrong. In fact, makes me feel ? normal with this crazy CIDP;

Thank you for your reply, you are very right about rather having CIDP than ALS. I do have symptoms on both sides ans I did ask my Dr about MS and ALS and she said my test are consistant with CIDP.

Thank You

Hey there…
A rheumatologist huh? Since the only help we are getting is from my naturopath/allergist, perhaps a specialist in another field might have some direction?

The neuro claims he can’t find anything wrong, so he can’t treat it. This is why he refuses IVIG’s, etc. Every dr. I have seen is just baffled by my bizzare symptoms & can’t diagnose it.

Thanks!
