A wonderful way to contribute to the GBS/CIDP Foundation International is to give highly appreciated stock, or low cost basis stock. If you are hesitant about selling them because of the resulting tax consequence, you can gift that stock to the Foundation in kind without any tax liability. The stock will be sold under the tax beneficial status of the 501(c)(3) in the Foundation’s name.
